The caption on the reverse of the photograph reads: “Nurse medallists at West Middlesex Hospital. Picture shows the two nurses, with their Sister Tutor, was (sic) won medals in the Middlesex County Council interhospital examination finals. They are both from West Middlesex Hospital, Osterley. Left to right – Nurse O. A. Minns (gold medal), Sister Tutor Saddington, and Nurse M. Diehr (silver medal).”
