The caption on the reverse of the photograph reads: “Charing Cross Hospital nurses play in an A. A. Milne comedy. Nurses at Charing Cross Hospital played all the parts in A. A. Milne’s comedy “Mr Pim Passes By”, which they presented at the hospital on Wednesday, Jan. 3rd. Picture shows a scene from Act 1, when George Marden (Nurse M. McNally) exclaims “God bless my soul” when he hears from his niece Dinah (Nurse R. Burnop) that she wants to marry Brian Strange (Nurse J. Williams) on the extreme left. On the right is Olivia Marden (Nurse K. Gange)”
