Description

The barn is said to have been built in 1653. It had apparently been at least partially converted for domestic use by the late 19th century when this photograph was taken. The barn was demolished in 1952, shortly before the Church of England vacated the Palace. The Palace grounds were donated for public recreation by the Bishop of London in 1893. They are now known as Bishop's Park.
