This row of cottages stood on land formerly occupied by Gardiners Calico Works which were demolished in circa 1816. The cottages, which became known as Frogs Island, dated from around 1830. They were demolished circa 1933 when Wandsworth Greyhound Stadium was constructed just to the south of Frogs Island.
