Description

Putney Lodge, a late Georgian mansion, was formerly home to Sigismund Rucker, a local business man. After his death the house was sold in 1884 and converted into London's second public library. To the left of Putney Lodge, on the opposite side of Santos Road, is the building site on which St Thomas a Becket Church is about to be constructed.
