Description

When this photograph was taken, the Law Courts, built by Sir John Soane, had recently been demolished and the Law Courts moved to the Strand.

OWS01/10/008 shows a similar view of the west elevation of the Hall, after demolition but before the construction of the new facade.

Visible on the entrance to the building is a sign which reads ' No admittance except on business'.
