Description

The Burton store was opened in 1937. Many of Montague Burton's stores were built with billiard rooms, in part to "attract working class men who [...] were not used to shopping for clothes". This photograph was published on page 124 of 'Played in Birmingham' by Steve Beauchampe and Simon Inglis.
