Description

Aston Reservoir is also known as Salford Lake, Salford Park Pool or Salford Bridge Reservoir. It was formed in the 19th century to supply drinking water to Birmingham. The lake was later used for boating and fishing. It is surrounded by Salford Park. This photograph was published on page 99 of 'Played in Birmingham' by Steve Beauchampe and Simon Inglis.
