Osmaston Manor was built during the 1840s for Francis Wright whose family had made their fortune from banking and iron and coal production. In 1888 the estate was sold to Sir Andrew Walker. By the mid 20th century it had become a financial burden and was demolished in 1964.
This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project.
