The locations of the buildings depicted were determined using a labelled plan of the site made by the Ministry of Works on the 4th of July 1952 which was amended up until the 4th of October 1955. The plan has a job number 47463 and has drawing numbers ALG/18 and 465/42. It is held in the plans room at the NMR.
This job was taken for the England's Atomic Age report. The report is one of a series of Strategy on the Historic Industrial Environment Reports produced for the English Heritage Industrial Archaeology Strategy Group. Part One gives a brief overview of England's nuclear installations.
