Description

For 'Listing'. This bandstand, erected in 1905 by the McCallum and Hope Iron Foundry, has been known as the 'Bowie Bandstand' since the mid-2010s, in memory of the rock musician David Bowie, who organised and performed at a free festival (the Growth Summer Festival) here on 16th August 1969.
