Description

For Listing. Photographer's note: ' Built in 1936 - 1937 to the designs of A Percival Starkey. Brindle brick, laid in Flemish bond, with metal-framed casements and a plain tile roof. The Christian Science Church in Elm Park Road, Pinner has an architectural appearance which reflects vernacular traditions. Its use of materials including brick and tiles, casement windows and steep roofs is more domestic in character than ecclesiastical, in keeping with its suburban location. The Church of Christ Scientist was started in the late C19 and formed by Mary Baker Eddy.'
