The series comprises 49 black and white photographic prints (four of them are duplicates) showing views of English towns between about 1918 and 1950. They include a set of images that may have been taken by J. Dixon Scott of places such as Stratford Upon Avon, Stamford, Burford, York, Bath and Chipping Camden. There is a set of images showing new towns and suburbs such as Stevenage, Welwyn Garden City and Roehampton.
