The Survey of the Jewish Built Heritage was carried out under the auspices of the Jewish Community Council, with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, with the aim of promoting; protection; preservation and public access. From 1999, English Heritage photographers recorded a number of monuments and sites dating from before the Second World War, some of which were used for the EH and Jewish Heritage publication 'Jewish Heritage in England: An Architectural History' by Sharman Kadish, (Sep 2006).
