Description

From spring 2005 research has been carried out on the canal town of Stourport on Severn, by staff from the Swindon office of English Heritage in conjunction with Stourport Civic Society. Stourport is a canal town which is poised for a major phase of regeneration, and the project aims to inform the management of change through partnership with local agencies. Following the project a publication is to be produced in partnership between English Heritage, Stourport Civic Society and British Waterways, which is intended to inform the process of identifying and assessing the distinctiveness of the historic environment associated with the town's heritage.
