Description
A national overview of historic school buildings, published as 'England's Schools: History, architecture and adaptation' by Elain Harwood in the Informed Conservation series in 2010. The book took as its starting point a 1990s text on the listing of schools, revised to include recent work on the subject, recent criteria for designation and case studies of good school refurbishments.
