Description
The Historic England Photographic Surveys Collection consists of photography created, commissioned, or used by Historic England and its predecessors, ranging in date from the 1960s to the present day.
The collection consists of negatives, positives, prints, albums, reports, and born-digital material in formats such as .dwg, .doc, .jpeg, .tiff, and .xlc. There is also associated data, such as control and co-ordinate data, location diagrams, bench mark lists, and camera calibration certificates amongst other things. Coverage is national, with an emphasis on English listed buildings and monuments. There is also some foreign material.
A handlist is avaliable.
