Series: Liquid Assets

Description

A series of fourteen (14) digital colour photographs showing lidos and outdoor swimming pools and associated structures in England.

All of the photographs were taken by Simon Inglis and were published in 'Liquid Assets: The lidos and open air swimming pools of Britain' (2005) by Janet Smith.

All but one of the sites shown are in London or Greater London: Uxbridge Lido, Serpentine Lido, Parliament Hill Fields Lido, Tooting Bec Lido, Guildford Lido (superintendent's lodge), Brockwell Lido, London Fields Lido, and the Oasis Sports Centre in Holborn.

Some sites are shown before or soon after restoration and refurbishment work.
