The series contains archive material from archaeological fieldwork and analysis carried out by RCHME Salisbury in the Salisbury Plain Training Area from June 1988 through to the mid 1990s, together with ground photography and illustrations.
The material in this series was created in reponse to growing concerns about the condition of the unique archaeological landscape of the Salisbury Plain Training Area. RCHME Salisbury undertook fieldwork and analysis from the late 1980s to mid 1990s, and this, combined with ground photography and archaeological illustrations, informed the English Heritage publication 'The Field Archaeology of the Salisbury Plain Training Area' (2002). The matetrial in this series was received from EH and the former RCHME survey teams.
