The collection contains 2942 measured drawings relating to construction projects that the company was involved with.
The drawings show sections, elevations, plans and details and were produced between 1895 and 1985. Most of the drawings were produced by RMJM.
There are some drawings that were acquired by RMJM and had been produced by other organisations. They show: Royal Mint in Tower Hamlets, London (by the Ministry of Works and the Ministry of Public Buildings and Works); National Children's Home, Harpenden, Hertfordshire (by Holman Goodrham Architects); Chelsea Electricity Supply Company premises, London (by Alfred Roberts Architects); St Paul's House, City of London (by Victor Heal and Partners); and the Tower of London (by the Ministry of Works and the Property Services Agency).
In this series, there is also an album of floor plans for the Carlton Hotel, Pall Mall, London made after the hotel suffered a fire in 1911. One of the drawings is by Davis, Bennett and Company and another, for a fire prevention scheme, is by Edwin O. Sachs. Many of the remaining plans bare the name of the hotel's General Manager, C. Ritz (presumably Cesar Ritz).
A handlist is available.
This is part of the Collection: RMJ01 Robert Matthew, Johnson-Marshall and Partners, English Collection (RMJM Collection)
