Description

EH Exeter survey of a coastal battery in May 2001; the earliest battery on the site can be traced to 1779-80. The site also contains a near complete WWII emergency coastal battery and ancillary structures. The involvement of English Heritage in the listing of some of the structures highlighted the lack of a detailed plan of the site prompting the survey.
