Description

A 1:2500 scale level 3 air photographic transcription was undertaken as part of a study of selected archaeological sites discovered through recent aerial survey by the RCHME in the North Oxfordshire region. The features recorded comprised the cropmark remains of a linear barrow cemetery of five round barrows, a possible mortuary enclosure, a possible round barrow and a linear ditch. The survey carried out by Jonathan Chandler, a temporary student placement with the RCHME Aerial Survey Section, Swindon between the 19th and 25th of November 1996. Transcription of all archaeological features was carried out using the AERIAL 4.20 rectification software published by the University of Bradford Formerly 1064651
