Volume: Loose prints

Description

Considered originally to have been part of an album, these 70 loose original monochrome photographic prints taken by Ellis mainly depict church interiors. There is good coverage of medieval wood and stone carving, screens, fonts and covers, arcading and ceilings.

Although undated the images seem to date from 1890 to 1900.

Archival History

These original prints have been stored in Secol enclosures.
