Description
This series within the Edifice Collection includes 68 slides on University buildings around Britain, focusing on Oxbridge sites and Modernist accommodation. There is a combination of Modernist and Classical buildings shown across both Oxford and Cambridge colleges, alongside buildings at new universities, such as the University of Essex. The Modernist buildings and latter subject often show the results of the post Second World War university expansion. Most of the images show the exteriors of the buildings, but there is an image showing a piece of public art by Ana Maria Pacheco, shown at the University of Essex.
