A file containing seven photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on Church Street. Known as Woolworths store number 1, this was the first branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles in 1909. The American Charles Hubbard was the first manager. The original store was at 25 Church Street; it later moved to 22-36 Church Street. The store closed down in 1983.
