Description

A file containing 26 photograph depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on the High street, Hitchin. Known as Woolworths store number 452, this was the four-hundred and fifty-second branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1931. The store originally opened at 7 High Street but moved to 9-10 High Street in 1965. Woolworths closed in December 2008.
