Eleven reconstruction illustrations and two general illustrations depicting Tynemouth Priory and Castle, and the later buildings on the headland occupied by Tynemouth Castle. The illustrations were created between circa 1920 and 2008 by a number of illustrators including C. Tunstall Small, Terry Ball, Nick Hardcastle, Graham Sumner and Liam Wales. The illustrations were commissioned in order to be reproduced in either English Heritage guidebooks or as part of the design of interpretation panels created by English Heritage to be placed at the site.
There are also five black and white preliminary sketches, created by Terry Ball. These have not been catalogued at item level.
