The file contains 62 drawings related to the Peveril Castle site and the custodian's cottage nearby. The site came under the guardianship of the Ministry of Works in 1932, and the items in the file cover a date range from 1920 up to 1999. The items have been created by the Office of Works and its successors, and are mainly measured drawings on a variety of media. Many of the items relate to various proposed changes to the custodian's accommodation. Four oversized plans of the castle were also made during the late 20th century.
