Church of St Mary, The Street, Dennington - East Suffolk
Mediaeval parish church comprising nave, chancel, north and south aisles, west tower, north porch and north sacristy. Built of random flint and stone rubble, the nave plastered at clerestory level; stone dressings; red brick sacristy, leaded roof to nave, slated roof chancel. The nave roof covering is nearing the end of its service life and admitting water onto a fine mediaeval roof, exceptionally good mediaeval Parclose screens and monuments in the Bardolph Chapel. Investigations underway.
