Music House, 167 and 169, King Street, Norwich - Norwich

Former house, most recently an educational institute. C12 onwards. Stone, flint and brick walls, pantile roofs. three storeys and undercroft. C12 two bay basement running from front towards the river, with C15 brick vaulted basement at right angles parallel with the street. Undercrofts are linked. The building is unoccupied. Several instances of active water leakage and damage to fabric probably emanating from the gutter between the C12 house and later construction; blocked rainwater downpipes serving C19 range have caused damage at all levels. Microbial and bacterial growth in undercroft.
