Church of St John the Divine, Railway Street, Chatham - Medway (UA)

Italianate style church of 1820-21 by Sir Robert Smirke, 1863 apse by GM Hills. It reopened in April 2021 having been closed for around 25 years. Grant to carry out emergency works to the roof and interior rotting timber has now been completed, part funded by Historic England and the Church Commissioners. Further works have been carried out to bring the building back into community use, including as a church, but there are still further works to be done.
