Church of St Michael, Ravenstone with Snibstone - North West Leicestershire

Parish church of early C14, restored C19. Stonework is in very poor condition. The 2018 Quinquennial Inspection identified several movement cracks requiring urgent investigation. Further urgent repairs are needed to the tower, the internal and external faces of the spire and masonry elsewhere. A defective rainwater disposal system is causing significant damp issues. A Historic England's Covid-19 Emergency Heritage at Risk Response Fund funded modest stone work repairs. A National Lottery Heritage Fund grant was accepted in 2023 and works started on site in spring 2024.
