The Clock House, Royal Harbour, Ramsgate - Thanet

The harbour clock house of 1817, designed by Benjamin Wyatt and George Louch. Altered by John Rennie. Covid-19 Emergency Heritage At Risk Response funding saw urgent repairs to the roof and high-level masonry (2021). A full scheme of repairs is required to address the tower's worsening structural issues. Issues with damp need to be addressed. This building forms part of a Levelling Up Fund programme for the harbour. Plans need to be developed to see the building fully repaired and brought back into a sustainable use. Measures to prevent further heritage crime have been strengthened.
