Arched gateway and garden wall attached to south front of Shuttleworth Hall, Hapton - Burnley
C17 arched gateway and garden wall in coursed sandstone, associated with Shuttleworth Hall. The wall has had patch repairs in cement mortar and a length of coping is missing. There is damage to the historic stonework, as moisture and salts enter the wall but cannot move through the hard cement mortar, and instead push through the softer stone in places, causing it to weather and deteriorate.
