Grove Gardens Cemetery Chapel, Grove Road, Richmond Cemetery - Richmond upon Thames

Cemetery chapel built in 1875 by Sir Arthur Blomfield. Formerly leased out by the locally based charity Habitats & Heritage, it had operated as a nursery until major structural problems meant it had to be vacated. The building is suffering from ground movement and subsidence, causing major cracks above windows and the separation of the gable wall from the roof. It has been propped and is monitored. Habitats & Heritage has commissioned an options appraisal and an engineering review, part-funded by Historic England, to inform discussions on the best approach to repair and re-use.
