Torr Vale Mill, New Mills - High Peak
Remarkable survival of a textile factory c1790. Long term heritage at risk site with significant improvement in the last few years. A manufacturing business, office space, events venue, bar/restaurant, retail units and holiday accommodation have been created. Historic England provided a grant for the repair of the main mill building roof. Further phases of repair work are required on other parts of the site and access difficulties need to be resolved in order to secure a fully viable future.
