High House Farmhouse, Ockendon Road - Havering
Three-storey house of brick and timber frame circa 1700 with an older timber-framed wing. The timber frame to the three-storey section is under stress, the porch is propped by scaffold and there is significant water damage from the failing roof. A number of the rooms are uninhabitable. Much of the extensive vegetation growth on the exterior of the building has been removed and some surveys have been carried out but the building requires urgent repairs to prevent further decay and possible localised collapse. The Local Authority and Historic England are continuing discussions with the owners.
