MARTHAM BLACK STREET TG 4518 (west side) 10/21 No. 21 (The Grove)

House. Circa 1730 with west wing added c.1840. Brick with slate roofs. West wing has west facade of 2 storeys in 3 bays. Central panelled door with over- light. Horned sashes with glazing bars and gauged skewback arches. Hipped roof. Stacks on lateral roof slopes. East front of 2 bays only owing to presence of earlier wing : door and sashes as before. C18 wing extends east. 2 storeys. Original 3 bay elevation apparent from blocked windows. One mid C19 tripartite sash to ground floor under segmental arch. One C20 window to the left. Platband at first floor and 2 sashes with glazing bars. Hipped roof. Early C19 outshut to rear (north) of C18 wing. 2 storeys under roof of black glazed pantiles. Mixed fenestration to ground floor. 3 early C19 casements to first floor.
