GV II 14 chest tombs and headstone. Headstone approximately 3 metres south-east. Late
C17. Limestone, with scrolled head. Commemorates Anne Collier, d.1692. Two chest
tombs approximately 3 metres south-east. Early C19. Limestone. Tomb to east,
with beaded panels and moulded plinth, cornice and top, commemorates William
Collier, d.1802. Tomb to west, plain with moulded plinth and cornice and shaped
top, commemorates Edward Collier, d.1831, his wife and children. Two chest
tombs, approximately 2 metres south of chancel and 1 metres east of south
transept. Early C19. Limestone. Double chest tomb to north, with moulded plinth
and cornice and acorn finial surmounting shaped top, commemorates A.W. Batt,
d.1817, and Mary Batt, d.1833, Tomb to south, with fielded panels and moulded
plinth, cornice and top, commemorates William Long, d.1823, his wife and family.
Two chest tombs, approximately 2 metres south of chancel and 5 metres east of
south transept. Early C19. Limestone. Each has beaded and fielded panels, and
moulded plinth, cornice and top. Tomb to north commemorates Thomas Jones,
d.1827. Tomb to south commemorates William Ashfield, d.1828. Eight C19 chest
tombs are not of special architectural interest.
