8/106 No. 13 (Glynde Cottage)


House. C16 and C17 with late C19 and C20 alterations and additions. Timber framed,partly of cruck construction, with painted brick nogging on brick plinth. Plain tile roof. Framing: C16 rectangular panels and C17 square panels. Eaves raised by one panel, probably in C19. Baffle-entry plan of 2 framed bays. 2 storeys. Brick ridge stack, just off-centre to left (rebuilt above ridge in C20). 3 first-floor windows and 2 ground-floor windows; C20 two-and 3-light wooden and wooden- framed metal casements. Roughly-central half-glazed door with C20 gabled porch. C20 one-storey addition to right with 4-light wooden casement to front. Interior: floor room with chamfered and stopped beam and joists and right-hand ground-floor room with chamfered beamand plain joists. Fireplace with chamfered wooden lintel.
