II
Farmhouse, barn and dairy, now converted to one dwelling. C16, altered and enlarged probably mid C18, barn and dairy probably C18, all modified mid-late C20, Roughcast over rubble and possibly some cob, single Roman tiled roofs, farmhouse hipped to West fronting road, brick stacks West end to left of axial cross passage, and inserted at eaves level end bay left and to left of entrance. Plan: probably 3 cell and cross passage farmhouse lying East-West, West gable end extended under hipped roof for outbuilding, East end possibly rebuilt, altered internally to 4 cell, linked on West front to barn with abutting dairy beyond. North front: 2 storeys, long 4-bay facade, all C20 3-light casements except small 2-light chamfered stair window, C20 plank door. West faced fronting road; irregular fenestration to 2 bays of farmhouse, pantile roofed bay with door linking independently roofed threshing barn with shallow porch, inserted C20 many paned windows; abutting lower independently roofed 2 storey block with brick stack, slid to have been dairy prior to conversion to dwelling, C20 casements and central C20 door. Interior of farmhouse partially sighted, remains of winder stair to right of West gable end, steeply chamfered beam with step and runout stops; chamfered wooden lintel to cross passage fireplace with inserted moulded stone impost blocks to jambs, pre C19 date.
