2. Dated 1879 and 80, by Ewan Christian (?) Picturesque range of houses in free, early C17 manner, enclosing north and east sides of Court with arch beneath No 8A. 3 main storeys plus basement and another in roof. Red brick with moulded bands, gables etc and tower to No 6. Slated roofs with prominent chimney stacks. 'Shell' doorhoods of terra cotta.
