Details

LUPPITT LUPPITT ST 10 NE 6/76 Illegible headstone approximately - 3 metres south of the tower of the Church of St Mary GV II Headstone. C18. Upright stone slab standing approximately 1.3 metres high. It has a shaped head carved with scrolls and hourglass flanked by winged cherubs head. A panel is surrounded by a frame carved with scrolled foliage and a tassle divides the inscription into 2 halves. The inscription is Roman serif upper and lower case lettering but is so lightly incised as to be illegible in all but perfect lighting conditions.
