House. Possibly circa early C19 although the building may have earlier origins and
was remodelled in early C19. Rendered and stuccoed softwood frame with first and
second floors jettied out. Slate roof with gable ends and brick chimney stack on
left-hand gable end.
Double depth 2-room plan of 1-room width with entrance to right leading to stair in
passage on right and smaller service to rear on left.
3 storeys and attic, regular single-window front with splayed right-hand corner on
ground floor. Ground floor with C19 sash on left with glazing bars removed and C19
4-panelled door on right. First and second floors each jettied with C19 4-pane
sashes with moulded and exposed sash boxes.
Interior with C19 ceiling beams to ground floor, C19 chimney-piece with cast iron
grate and C19 stair. Upper floors not accessible.
The jettying of the upper floors would suggest an early date for this building; but
there appears to be little evidence to confirm this and if the building has earlier
origins any early features have been completely covered by circa early C19
remodelling.
