2/26 Former brewery building 20m south-west of the Village Hall

Former brewery, now used as builder's store. Probably c1777. Originally worked by water power. Walls Of flint and brick banding, brick dressings. Concrete tile roof. 2 storeys and loft, the lowest storey a semi-basement. At right angles to road. North-east wall has, on lowest floor, 5 windows with segmental arches. Part-glazed, part boarded. C20 garage doors, and one blocked window. Upper floor has 4 similar windows. Gable end to road has sack hoist at high level, with loft door below. Below this, 2 windows on each floor, with segmental arches, - upper ones glazed, lower ones louvred. Later brick lean-to on south, with corrugated sheeting roof. Remains of wheel pit south of the building.
