6/37 The Sack House

GV II

House. C14. Timber framed and plastered with external imitation timber framing of square panels. Roof is hipped at both ends and of pegtiles with an off- centre ridge line small stack. One storey and attics with later extension to rear of northwest end. Remnants survive of a former aisled building with jowled arcade posts with passing braces and a splayed scarf joint with under squinted abutments. A curious chamfered spine beam is carried on an octagonal Samson post.
