Police station and police house; now council office and ancillary offices to the Magistrates' Court. Domestic accommodation on first floor. Late C19 with C20 alteration. Variegated brick ill English garden wall bond, with yellow and red brick dressings; slate roof 2 storeys and attic, 2-window front, end on street. Doric portico to right with 4-panel door approached by steps. 2-storey canted bay to left with 4-panel door approached by steps. 2-storey canted bay to left with 4-pane sashes to both floors, surmounted by a plain parapet with a band of cogged brick. Single pane sash over door, with small 4-pane sash to attic. Stone sills to all windows. Single raised brick course at eaves level. Hipped roof and centre ridge stack. Left return front: double doors with bordered coloured glazing to top half in doorcase of Doric pilasters and entablature. Small 4-pane sashes with stone sills and cambered arches to each side. 4-pane sash to first floor. Iron railings to front steps are ramped-up on turned standards and balusters.
