House. C17, enlarged and altered early C19, minor alterations mid
C20. Timber-framing with rendered infill, painted Flemish bond
brickwork, tiled roof. Two-bay, 2-storey section, one bay, 1½
storeys, all one room deep. House gable to road: right return,
on right framing 3 panels high to eaves: two 2-light windows,
gabled dormer with 2-light casement over. To left framing
continuous through one further bay; C20 single-storey rendered
porch with gable projects on right, 4-light casement with Y tracery
imitating older on wall behind. In framing to left 3-light early
C19 window, Y tracery, iron opening light. Above porch the
framing carried up to form dormer, 4-light ovolo-moulded casement,
leaded lights: above start of verge rafters but no framing. Left
and right wall raised in brick and part framing in C19 to match
extension on left: single-light window to left. On left brick
bay, 3-light casement, Y tracery, iron opening-light, flat rubbed
brick arch. Above similar window, dentil eaves. Gable chimneys
each end of 2-storey section. Fretwork bargeboards to gable to
road. Forms group with Brick House Farmhouse (q.v.).
