2/26 Farmbuildings to west of Moor House Farmhouse GV II

Farmbuildings around foldyard. Late C18 extended early C19. C18 parts large roughly-squared stone, early C19 parts squared tooled stone with tooled-and- margined dressings; Welsh slate roofs, except for pantiles on north-east outshut. Ranges around yard opening to south.

2-storey east range continues from rear wing of Moor House farmhouse (q.v.): 2 segmental arches and boarded pitching door. - -

North range 2 storeys. C18 left part has arcade of 5 segmental arches, and small windows directly beneath eaves; left gable has coping returned on deep footstones. C19 right part has 2 stable doors with 4-pane casement between; roof hipped to right.

Long single-storey C18 west range extended 3 times in early C19 to provide labourers' cottages: C18 part has boarded door, stable door and 2 part-slatted windows; extensions have stable doors and boarded double doors. Left return shows gable coping returned on deep footstones.

Rear (north) elevation shows central external stair to boarded door in raking half dormer; to left pent shed with boarded double doors and2 small casements, to right pent shelter shed with 7-bay arcade of square piers carrying timber lintels. Left return of range shows slit vents and pent outshut with boarded door on left return.

Brick shelter shed range in centre of yard, and brick extension to rear of north range, are not of special interest.
