BIRTSMORTON CP - SO 73NE 4/29 Farmers Arms Public House - II

Public house. C17. Timber-framing with brick infill and tile roof. Two- storey. The right-hand part of the facade is probably earlier and is of two bays with central chimney. Principal posts to each side of the left- hand bay appear to have jointed heads, suggesting that a gable may have been removed. The left-hand part of the facade has framing of lighter scantling. On the ground floor are two windows,on the first floor one. Door at right. The gable trusses have struts between tie-beam and collar.
